If you don't want to have an accident with a car, don't drive a car, drive slowly - or go to Myanmar and bless your car! I've filmed this funny, crazy procedure of a car blessing in Myanmar. The priest puts blessed fruit and flowers on the bonnet. Than, you have to drive the car slowly forward and back, while the priest puts holy water on the car and speaks some magic spells. After having finished the procedure, you put some of the blessed flowers in your car - and some are fastened at the radiator grill. That's all. If you don't trust in superstition: Drive slowly, however... :-) Filmed in Myanmar, Asia.
Wenn man keinen Autounfall produzieren möchte, gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten: Man fährt nicht mit dem Auto, man fährt langsam, oder aber man läßt sein Auto segnen. Den lustigen, verrückten Auto-Segnungsprozess habe ich in Myanmar/Burma, Asien einmal filmisch für die Nachwelt festgehalten. Wie funktioniert es? Man steuert einen erfahrenen Autopriester an. Der stellt einen Korb mit Früchten (Bananen, Kokosnuss) und Blumen auf die Motorhaube. Dann muss man langsam vor und zurück fahren, während der Priester heiliges Wasser auf das Auto spritzt und dazu geheimnisvolle Verse murmelt. Fertig! Nun kann man ein paar der gesegneten Blumen ins Auto legen, und ein paar werden - Service wird schließlich groß geschrieben - am Kühlergrill befestigt. Nun kann es weitergehen (sicherheitshalber am besten trotzdem langsam fahren, falls man nicht dem Aberglauben huldigt...)
